Equipment Management:
Manages all equipment and defines what is bookable in the calendar. All equipment of the which ever departments are part of the user’s organization chart are managed in detail (can be used for all sorts of equipment):
- each piece of equipment is recorded containing all relevant information, dependant on the type, of equipment (for each type of equipment the kind of relevant data can be defined individually)
- service-information of the equipment is stored with the equipment,
- a ‘tree-structure’ represents connected parts as in reality, so everything can actually be found (e.g. software on a computer, objective on a microscope), this can also be defined individually depending on the degree of details needed.
Inventory DB:
The inventory DB imports all data from the SAP and gives the possibility to extend these data. These extensions include room number, serial number and other things essential for inventory taking. It also allows adding data like the person in house responsible for this piece of equipment, if there is a service contract for it, how long the guarantee runs, which company is responsible for repairs including the correct contact person, etc. It also has functionality like automated reminder for yearly maintenance visits. The inventory DB can contain ‘GWGs’ and other useful additions to the SAP data and is consolidated with the equipment configuration.
Calendar:
The calendar gives all users in house the possibility to book equipment online from each computer in house using a web-browser. All equipment maintained in the equipment configuration can be made bookable. The various calendar rights (none, read, standard and admin) can be defined for each piece of equipment for each user individually.
