The Research Institute of Molecular Pathology conducts fundamental research in biomedics and is largely funded by Boehringer Ingelheim and various funding institutions. The IMP decided to choose CWC as partner in terms of software development. Since 2001, the IMP uses CWC’s unique General Resource Management (GRM) tool. Because of the high level of acceptance amongst the various research teams, CWC is constantly working on add-ons and updates, so as to keep the GRM tool as technically advanced as possible.

The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology conducts research on the molecular basics of immune responses and on topics of developmental biology, such as the origin and differentiation of immune cells and the development of vertebrate embryos. In this context, CWC developed SQL based databases for the following contents: genes, antibodies, peptides, siRNA, baculovirus, yeast and oligo. Because of customer demands, these databases can easily be exported into other databases, such as i.e. Oracle. |

The Boehringer Ingelheim RCV GmbH & Co KG as part of the International Group of Boehringer Ingelheim is based in Vienna and represents the center of oncological research and development and also represents one of the two existing centers focused on biopharmaceutical development and production. Constant software development orders show the high level of satisfaction with the programming team of CWC. The specifics of the demands are top secret and thus cannot be outlined any further. Yet, the cooperation proofs that CWC can be trusted in developing software using sensible company data

AFFiRiS AG is an innovative, Vienna-based biotechnology company. Using its proprietary AFFITOME® - technology, it is able to develop customised peptide-based vaccines targeting Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson's disease, atherosclerosis, hypertension and other diseases with unmet medical needs. AFFiRiS has contracted CWC with the complete network support. The nature of the data used makes it essential that the support guarantees i.e. permanent availibilty of resources, client support, the use of intrusion detection systems, efficient control mechanisms for spam and viruses, and the establishment of secure coded VPN networks. |
